Sam's Class 1 Mini


Matt Fry runs a Class 1 Mini for his young son Sam, and we have a link to this car as it used to belong to Steve  (Class 6 Nova), and we rebuilt the engine for him when he bought it a few years back.
 Steve then sold it to Tyler (WS84), who used it for a season and then sold it to Matt.
Matt has asked us to pull the engine down this winter and have a look, and maybe refresh it.
It stills runs ok as Sam was 2nd in the B final this last meeting of the year. More on this when the engine arrives here.

Matt is the owner of Fryer Hire, Somerton and they deal with groundworks and other plant related business.

The engine has arrived for the strip down and checkover.

Engine is now in bits, and really just needs to be freshened up with new rings, shells and gaskets.

Parts are cleaned, and then painted, and then carefully reassembled to ensure we get the most from this engine.

Engine is now ready to be fitted.

Nearly finished, just the fuel tank and braided hoses, air cleaner, and then start the engine and set the fueling and timing, and best of all, the road test outside the unit!

The engine runs and sounds great, and has loads of power. Looks good to I think!

First meeting is 28th of March, can't wait to see how Sam does this season.
