Nathan's 1293cc Mini project. Nathan's engine has been rebored to .020, with new pistons and rings fitted. Crank was just polished, and Vandervell shells fitted, and a Kent 286 cam, heavy duty cam followers and a lightened duplex timing gear kit added. This head is a type three, which is about as far as we go for road use. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The bare shell has now been painted and delivered to us to begin the re-assembly process. Dark Blue with a Silver Flake! Subframes cleaned and powder coated! Lots of nice clean and shiny parts to be fitted! Wheel Arches now fitted. Front subframe fitted, with some suspension parts. Front hubs and discs now fitted. Rear subframe in place. Back on her standard wheels for a while, and it's off to have the paint polished and a few minor problems sorted. ![]() This is what I want to be when I grow up !!! The rebuild continues..... A pair of new complete rear brake assemblies, with Goodridge hoses and new handbrake cables. New rear wheel bearings and seals fitted. New copper brake lines, and Mini Sport Hi-Lo suspension units. Recon brake calipers, Goodridge brake hoses, Heavy Duty adjustable Tie Bars and Neg Camber lower arms. New wheel bearings, Ball joints, Track rod ends, and CV joints. Poly bushes used everywhere! Minisport Hi-Los with new knuckle joints. Copper brake pipes, Goodridge clutch pipe and new slave cylinder, and more Poly bushes. 1293cc Mighty Mini lump in place. |
