Glen White, Fisher Fury 2 Litre Zetec |
Glen asked us to tidy up the engine bay on the Fury, and repaint the frame. Although the car is road legal, it is mainly used for track days. Bonnet and sills removed for better access to the working bits. Big 4 pot brakes up front, need sorting! Drum brakes at the back for now. Twin webers provide the fuel. Custom exhaust manifold. ![]() Inboard coil over suspension. Front suspension removed. Carbs removed. Engine out. Gearbox removed. This is what we are going to put right. We have to move the seat forward so the side panel had to come off. ![]() More rubbing....and primer. Then many coats of Satin Black. Now we have to remember how to put it back together.. Gearbox cleaned and painted and refitted. Front hubs and top arms attached. Twin brake master cylinders fitted. Temporary gearbox mount in place! Steering rack checked, cleaned and painted. Work on the engine is done. ![]() Engine now fitted. Front coil over units in place. Carbs bolted on. Some of the wiring sorted. Radiator and top hoses fitted. Lots more hoses plus lower control arms with new bushes. Exhaust manifold with VHT black paint added. Two not very good pics of the under side of the engine bay.
