The day was extremely hot and a little dusty!
Quite a good day for JRE, the Class 2 final had our cars 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th.
Class 1 Juniors
Tyler! 2nd in heat one after leaving the line last!
Glad to report the the Mini is now running much cooler during the races.
1st in heat 2, and 1st in the final. That's more like it
Class 2
Nigel 1st in both heats, and 5th in the final after a bad start.
2nd in the open after a good start!
Chris 2nd, DNF heat 2, and 3rd in the final.
Mark 3rd, 2nd and 4th in the final.
Aaron 2nd, 1st and 1st in the final.
Wayne took Aarons car to a win in the open.
Barry (Fred) 3rd, 3rd and 7th in the final.
Class 4
Jon Young, not one of our cars, but a good friend takes 3 wins!!
Class 3
Ian Fay, a long time Wessex member and his daughter Lisa share this radical Nissan Micra, converted to rear wheel drive.
Class 6
Steve, 3rd in heat 1, 4th in heat 2 and then pushed into the barriers on the straight whilst in 2nd place.
This
was done by the same car that took Steve out at the end of last season.
Seems to be a pattern emerging here, they don't like being beaten by
the old 8 valve engine!
