Racing update for 2011

Sam Street, Class 1 Junior SS770

This year we have concentrated on helping Tim and Sam Street contest the British Autograss Series.
Most of our energy has been directed towards keeping Sam on the track.

After a shaky start at the first round in West Wales, things have progressed as planned.

We have scored some excellent results, the best being joint 2nd overall at the Stroud round.

Sam has also been using the Wessex and South Somerset events as track time as we decided
 not to concentrate too much
on retaining the Southern League title he won last year.

However, luck was with us this year and Sam is now leading the League and looks set to retain the title.

This will mean a complete engine strip down at the end of the season to ensure we are legal.

As of 1st Sept, we still have the Junior Nationals and one more BAS series to end the year.

More to follow...........

Steve Adams, Class 6 Nova WS811

Steve had a late start to the season due to other committments. Over the winter we decided to put the 8 valve
Vauxhall onto Throttle Bodies to get some more air into the engine.

After Matt remapped the engine, we now have a beast of an engine, that is much faster than before,
Steve now has to adjust his driving to suit the car and soon should be winning races.

Mark Neagle, Class 2 Nova WS80

A change of fuelling to an SU, and some head skimming, and a session at Sigma
has produced a race winning car for Mark at last.

The car is nearly always first to the top corner and Mark now has to adapt his driving to suit the car

A brief spell on its roof has now made it into a fast back, but no injuries to Mark.

Ray Tudgay, Class 4 Micra 998cc WS23

So much development has taken place on the Micra, it would fill this page.

At last we have a set up that allows this car to run with and beat the 2 litre class 6 cars.

I think Ray is happy wih the engine that continues to run with out fault, even up the 9200 rev limit.

Next year should see many race wins for this car.

Mark Jefferies, Class 6 Saxo WS41

We have now sorted the fuelling on the Zetec and it runs ok.

Mark has missed most of the season due to an operation on his shoulder.

Some work is needed on the front suspension to sort the handling, but the car performs well.

Adam Holl Class 1 Junior, WS14

This is the first season for Adam and he has a Mini that used to belong to  Tim Street.

We have done some work on the car and it is now down to Adam to gain the race craft needed to run at the front.

The car is capable of good results
